This is the view from above my village of Briantspuddle, I am so lucky to see it most days, from my bike, car or when walking out with my dog. This impression was created in midsummer when the sun is high in the sky and the greens of the landscape are almost silvery when bleached by the bright light. I find this time of the year the hardest to portray, what I am feeling and seeing as the light plays tricks and creates curious colours and shadows. Also trying to convey the heat of the land warmed by the summer sun and the dry and dusty mood of high summer.
